Welcome to the home page of Campton Rovers, we were founded last year in the 22/23 season and are now playing in the 23/24 season. We have created a reserve team in order to give more people the chance to play football as our first team drew a lot of attraction in our local area.

Dan Thompson (Coach)

First Team Manager

Dan is a Level 2 qualified coach who is a player himself on Saturdays with Wilstead, at 18 he is the youngest manager in the BDSFL, however he is determined to make sure that Campton can build on the promising glimpses of exciting high quality football occasionally showcased last season.

Bradley Denton (Coach)

Second Team Manager

After careful consideration, the management team at the club decided that Bradley, a former club captain, would be a perfect fit for the second team manager role. A natural leader who always get the players listening to him, it is a big step up for the 19 year old, making him the second youngest manager in the BDSLF, but one that he is no doubt ready for.

Will Trevor

DEF

Will is a tall, versatile, composted central defender that specialises in playing adventurous passes forward and dominating in the air, standing at 6”3, Will's acceleration and defensive presence makes it hard for any attacker to get past.

Lewis Shields

DEF

Lewis is a quick, agile wingback who can operate on either side. A player that loves getting forward and aiding in the attack, Lewis' high levels of fitness allow for him to get from one box to the other consistently, providing attacking and defensive support.

George Atherton

DEF

George is a quick, calm defender who, after a year or transitioning into a centre half, has really come into his own. George specialises in covering and is a tough matchup for any attacker brave enough to try and go 1-on-1 with him.

Edwin Jackson

MID

Edwin is a creative midfielder whose footballing brain and technical ability, combined with his work rate and mentality makes him a very important part of the Campton midfield. A former academy player at Luton and Stevenage, Edwin will be looking not only help the team with scoring at one end, but help with defending at the other.


Michael Gregory

DEF

Michael is a brave centre half whose tough tackling defensive skills make him a very valuable assets in the Rovers backline. Never far away from the action, Michael will no doubt be a great match for every forward going up against him next season.

George Topliff

ATT

A pacy forward, George's clean, powerful strike off his left foot is always a satisfying watch. When switched on George is a dangerous player and will try his luck on taking on any defender in his way, typically with a high success rate. Having played periodically last season, George will be looking to be amongst the goals in his first full year in t football.

Finn Eva-Jones

MID

Finn is a player that prides himself on his repertoire of tricky and flairy skills. A very confident performer, Finn has the ability to pick up the ball almost anywhere on the pitch and can make things happen. A player to get you off your seats, Finn's presence in the midfield is not for the feint hearted as his obsession with stepovers and fancy flicks can often look dangerous, but more often than not he gets away with it.

Finlay Newman

MID

Fin, who at 15 years old will have to wait to make his debut until his 16th birthday, is a very promising midfielder who's already shown he will be a valuable asset throughout his time training with the side. With being brave in the tackle and an eye for goal, everyone is excited to see how he will fair in adults football.

Jake Doherty

DEF

Jake is a natural leader, whose composure and ball playing skills make him a very valuable member of the Rovers squad. Having played for our neighbours at Shefford Town and Campton, Jake's ability is immense, and despite only being 18 already has such a deep understanding of the game.

Jay Normoyle

ATT

A technically gifted player, Jay, who was the Rovers leading appearance maker in the 22/23 season, has the ability to beat a man with skill. Jay is also a great corner taker and can pick out a man with a cross. Jay has shown flashes of excellence and will be looking to build and develop on this, and will no doubt help the team going forward this year.

Will Jackson

MID

Will, a new addition to the Rovers midfield, is a very skilful and agile midfielder who's ability to drive forward with the ball and pick out a creative pass will no doubt be a constant attacking Avenue for the side next season.

Marty Allen

MID

Marty is a box-to-box midfielder who will never shy away from a challenge. With a cannon of a long-throw that can cause problems for any team, and an unrivalled work rate that allows for both offensive and defensive help, Marty is an important player for the Rovers and will undoubtedly has a big season ahead.

Parker Boyce

DEF

Parker is a defender whose electric pace and raw defensive ability make him a formidable centre half. An important member in the squad last season, Parker loves to drive forward when the opportunity arises.

Mohammed Jamil

MID

Jamil is a quality midfielder whose tenacious box-to-box displays always ends up with both the attack and defence being grateful for his presence. Often the calm amongst the storm, Jamil brings a more experienced head to the squad. This, in addition to his high levels of ability, makes him a fantastic player to have in the squad.

Yaks

ATT

Yaks is predominantly a target forward, who can also play in the backline. With the ability to win flicks and a higher level of experience than a lot of the players in the squad, Yaks will be a valuable attacking outlet for the Rovers next season.

JP

MID

JP is solid player and has a good range of passing with an eye for a pass and this will be key to us progressing through to the final third this season.

Tom Liddiard

MID

Tom, a left footer, is a versatile player whose fantastic crossing ability and eye for a pass makes him a valuable player to have in any squad. Predominately a wide midfielder/wingback, Tom can also join the centre of midfield if needed, and has a sweet long range strike in his locker when the opportunity arises.

Kieran Wallace

GK

A fantastic shot-stopper, Kieran, who formally played for Denham Raptors, is a massive signing for the Rovers. Despite his young age, “Big Cat” has already won so much, with his latest trophy coming for Bedford Albion in the League Cup. A natural leader, Kieran will be a big part of the Rovers squad this season.

Harvey Ley

ATT

Harvey is a player whose raw speed is enough to burn almost any fullback who has the misfortune of playing against him. With a strong right foot and an incredible work rate, Harvey's pressing game was valuable towards the backend of last season, always forming a dangerous partnership with whoever was upfront with him.

James Playford

MID

James is a tenacious midfielder whose blend of incredible technical ability and brute like strength and physicality make him a complete midfielder. James played once for the Rovers last year, scoring a well taken goal from range.

Owen Amias

GK

Having made his debut at 16, making him the youngest ever player in Rovers history, Owen is a young goalkeeper with a lot of potential. Owen, who is already such a safe pair of hands, will no doubt improve as his experience grows.

Arran Spears

DEF

Arran is an incredibly versatile player, and has the rare ability to use both feet perfectly. Predominately a wingback, Arran's crossing ability is superb, and he can strike a ball very cleanly, skills complemented by his defensive capabilities, making him a very impressive attacking fullback.

Dan Ward

ATT

A very smart striker, Dan's off-the-ball work proved valuable many times for the team last season. With a natural eye for being in the right place at the right time, Dan grabbed himself a handful of goals last season, including a hatrick against Hawkins in a friendly. Dan is not adverse to playing in the defence either, with his tall stature making him a good presence to have in the backline.

Alfie Maxted

DEF

Alfie is a smart defender whose understanding of the game and composure on the ball make him a valuable assets to the Rovers squad. With a ferocious left peg that can catch the ball very sweetly, Alfie's aerial dominance and ball playing abilities will make him a fantastic centre half over the coming season.

Ronny Steel

MID

Ronny, old brother to Harry, is another touch tackling no-nonsense midfielder who will add a much needed bite to the Rovers midfield. A new signing this summer, Ronny, alongside his brother, will be looking to dominate the midfield throughout the course of the season.

Harry Steel

MID

Aidan is a winger/center forward that is aiming to score goals for the team this season and will also being doing his part in goal. Aidan isn't afraid to try a long shot, and has great versatility, being able to play in a variety of positions, including right back and central midfield. Aidan's goals and assists will be vital to the team this season.

Harvey Delaney

ATT

Harvey, a new addition to the squad, is a versatile attacking players whose eye for goal will undoubtedly be a massive boost to the Rovers team this year. Being able to play confidently anywhere in the front 3 as well as in the attacking midfield role, Harvey's pace and composed finishing ability will prove to be valuable for the Rovers next season.

Elliott Rann

DEF

Elliott is a defensive minded wingback who, over the course of the last 12 months, has shown some development. Confident on the ball and smart in his defensive positioning.
